The Written Examination (500 marks) will comprise of two sections:
a) Part I (250 Marks): General Ability- 30 questions; General Medicine- 70 questions; Paediatrics- 20 questions
b) Part II (250 Marks): Surgery- 40 questions; Gynaecology & Obstetrics- 40 questions; Preventive & Social Medicine- 40 questions

UPSC Combined Medical Services (CMS) Syllabus 2015-2016
Part I is wriiten examination of 500 marks. You have to take the written examination in two Papers, each Paper carrying a maximum of 250 marks. Each paper is of 2 hours duration. Part II is personality test carrying 100 marks of such of the candidates who qualify on the results of the written examination. There is negative marking of 1/3 of mark for each incorrect answer.The Written Examination (500 marks) will comprise of two sections:

UPSC Engineering Services Exam (ESE) Syllabus 2015-2016
The written exam comprises of 2 sections. Section I consists of only objective type questions and section II comprises conventional papers. Both the papers cover entire syllabus of the relevant engineering disciplines. If you qualify the written examination, personality test of 200 marks is conducted.
